Deep Roots. Strong Tradition.

For over 60 years, Oakhill Day School has been a place where dedicated staff, involved parents, and terrific students come together in a caring and nurturing environment allowing students perform at their best!
Originally known as Little Folks, Oakhill Day School was founded in 1947 by a group of Northland mothers with common ambitions for the future success of their young children. The small preschool they created, first housed in an area church, grew and prospered, later moving to a small building located on NE 58th Terrace in Gladstone. During the 1950s and 1960s, Little Folks offered preschool, kindergarten, and grew to host first grade classes.
In 1972, "Little Folks" became Oakhill Day School. In 1987, the school expanded added offerings for students in second and third grades.
Oakhill Day School moved to its current location at 7019 N. Cherry in 1989. Since then, enrollment has continued to flourish with the addition of grade levels and early learning programming in the late 1990s. Additional classrooms, administrative staff, and facilities including a library, gymnasium, and outdoor learning facilities were added to accommodate our growing student body.
Oakhill is proud to currently serve students in grades Toddler (age 2) through Eighth and continues to uphold its reputation of excellence in education that the Northland has known since 1947.
