Welcome our newest Oakhill Alumni - The Class of 2017!

Image

We are excited to introduce you to our graduating eighth graders!  These 14 awesome students will be joining the ranks of Oakhill Alumni after graduation May 26.  Some have walked these halls for 12 years and all have enjoyed the time spent on campus.

Check out some of their favorite highlights and memories as we send them off to high school!

Jack Brown, headed to Liberty North
My favorite Oakhill memory was exploring in fourth grade after school and meeting "spear boy" by the creek with all my buddies!

Connor Carlson, headed to Northland Christian High School
My funniest memory of Oakhill was the time that I burnt Easy Mac in the microwave in the commons for lunch - it was stinky!

Lily Clevenger, headed to St. Teresa's Academy
My first memory of my time at Oakhill was in Mrs. Manley's class with Morgan, Avery, Jessie and Grayson - we were the dream team and were so excited to be in class together!

Colin Cuzner, headed to Park Hill South High School
My first memory of Oakhill was in Mrs. Crouse's classroom and being afraid of the class pet frogs - my mom had to come and pick me up!

Morgan Ferrara, headed to Staley High School
My best Oakhill memory was on the DC trip our group (myself, Lily, Braden and Tanner) got lost and had a water fight with our parent chaperone!

Madeline Gentry, headed to St. Teresa's Academy
Everyone at Oakhill is so nice, from teachers to students. It really feels like a family and I have enjoyed that so much!

Isabel Holmes, headed to Kearney High School
I am going to miss the small class size here at Oakhill and the large trips that we get to take every year!

Ian Miller, headed to Park Hill South High School
My first memory of Oakhill is fighting over and hiding the stuffed frog in prekindergarten with Braden - it went on all year!

Dylan Montes, headed to Platte County High School
I will miss the sports community at Oakhill the most - the teams, the athletes. I played boys volleyball and basketball, ran cross country and track and field.

Reilly Nash, headed to North Kansas City High School
International Baccalaureate Program
My first memory of Oakhill was meeting Stu in prekindergarten. He asked where did I come from and I replied 'Mars!'

Mimi Nguyen, headed to Park Hill High School
I am sad knowing that I am leaving my Oakhill family, but I am thankful for the countless memories I have made.

Braden Robertson, headed to Staley High School
My first memory at Oakhill was meeting Stu under the table in Early Learner's class with Mrs. Ferris while we were hiding from her.

Avery Spooner, headed to St. Teresa's Academy
I am going to miss the teachers and the whole family atmosphere here at Oakhill - I can't wait to come back and visit as an alumnae!

Stuart Yantis, headed to The Pembroke Hill School
My funniest memory is sleeping on the plane back from DC, being delayed for 3 hours and when they announced we had a pilot, I burst out 'About time!' and fell back to sleep!

High School Alumni Night

Oakhill welcomed back high school aged alumni last month! This was an opportunity for them to reconnect with each other and hang out! The event was held in the new South Campus and these Panthers LOVED seeing the new space while reminiscing about their Middle School days at Oakhill. They even asked for a "field trip" to the Main Campus to see the old Middle School space!

Thank you to all that were able to attend - we missed those who couldn't!  Stay tuned for more alumni events coming your way!

2016 Alumni vs Faculty Volleyball Game

Oakhill hosted the Annual Alumni vs Faculty Volleyball game in December. This is an opportunity for our Panther Alumni to come back and play a strategic game of volleyball against their former teachers and administrators.

Although they were small in number this year, they had heart and your Oakhill Alumni Panthers took the trophy BACK! MVP this year was alumni Drew Martin, who also happens to be a current Oakhill Parent!

Great job Alumni!

Chat and Chew

High school alumni were again invited back last fall for the Annual Alumni Chat and Chew. Oakhill Alumni are great to offer great advice to 7th and 8th graders, take questions, talk about their typical day and the variety of activities they participate in at their various high schools. This event helps our soon to be Oakhill graduates feel more prepared for high school!

We had 10 high schools represented this year. Thank you Oakhill Alumni for coming back to share your about your experiences!

Scrip is a fundraising program that enables families to raise money for Oakhill through the purchase of gift cards. Shopportunities

Annually we hold different events that help offset the cost of our Annual Auction. These can range from private shopping events to dining opportunities. Dinebacks are held at area restaurants that give a percentage of a given days proceeds back to Oakhill. In the past we have held these events at Trezo Mare, Senor Tequila's, Panera and Granite City.

We are excited to see you soon!

We'd love to hear from you!

What would you like to see?  We want to know! How should we reach out? We want to know! Starting a new business, have a new baby, college going well? We want to know! Hosting a Happy Hour? We want to know!
