Welcome to Summer at Oakhill Day School

Why Oakhill Summer Days?

Our goal at Oakhill Summer Days is to create a summer camp where every child can find multiple classes that interest him/her. As the children grow from summer to summer, so will Oakhill Summer Days. We want to compliment and help children to express their unique qualities that define who they are. From toddlers through middle school, we have developed a summer program to help us accomplish this goal.

We are excited to offer over 50 choices of classes and activities to children of all ages. Students are able to create their own unique schedule for the summer.  Class varieties change every morning and afternoon session on a weekly schedule. Class themes range from sports, academics, and art to all types of enrichment. Our fabulous class selection is available for nine weeks of the summer. This time span allows students to be able to devote as much time as they want to Oakhill Summer Days.  Half day and full day options are available, along with extended care programs, to make our hours convenient with parents' work schedules. Every class and program option is explained throughout the catalogue.  Enjoy browsing and creating your very own unique summer!

We look forward to Oakhill Summer Days 2014.

Summer At A Glance

What is Oakhill Summer Days?

Oakhill Summer Days is a fun and exciting experience for children ages 2 through the 8th Grade. At Oakhill Summer, students can choose from a variety of academic preparation and enrichment courses that are designed to stimulate a student's intellectual, physical, creative and social growth. Any child is welcome at Oakhill Summer Days, even those who do not attend Oakhill during the academic year.

What is the Oakhill Summer Days mailing schedule?

Postcards will be sent to last summer's families in December.

Teasers will be mailed in early January via direct mailing service (this is a simple "teaser" to tell you about some of the things Oakhill offers in the summer). Because a direct mailing service is used, teasers may not be mailed to the past summer's attendees.

Catalogs will be posted on the Summer Catalog page on this web site in February.

What types of courses are offered?

Oakhill Summer Days offers everything from academic programs to sports camps.  If your child wants to take an art studio camp, do science experiments, learn to cook, enjoys drama and theater, or wants to take a camp geared towards their interests then we have a camp for them! For those looking for a traditional day camp, we offer a fun-filled Traditional Camp with uniquely themed weeks of arts and crafts, outside sports and playground activities and much more. Swim lessons are offered to accompany Traditional Camp, as well as a Super Swim option for your child's afternoon.

For our 2, 3 and 4 year old students, we offer Toddler, Lil’, and Mini camps which offer flexible schedules for you and your child. You have the option to send your child for full or half days, 3-day  or 5 days.  Your little one is in for fun-filled themed weeks of art, music and movement, storytelling, creative play and water play on Fridays. Mini Camp students also have the ability to register for swim lessons and learn all the basics of swimming skills.

Our new Kindergarten Prep camp is called The Treehouse Club.  We will focus on kindergarten readiness as well as work on self-help skills to guide our students into greater independence as they move into the elementary age.  We will work on skills in the kitchen, personal care, and responsibility.  Some weeks will have field trips associated with the weekly theme--so be sure to check out the fun offerings we have for this age group.  Treehouse Club members can also register for swim lessons.
