Submit an Online Inquiry

Completing an inquiry form helps us get to know you and your child(ren) and what you're looking for in a school. We ask that you complete an inquiry form as the first step in the admissions process.

Complete Inquiry Form

Please contact Dorothy Beckham, Director of Admissions and Enrollment, at 816.436.6228, or by email with any questions.

Complete Online Application

The next step is to fill out the online Admissions application.

*For students already attending an early childhood program or are entering Grades 1 through Grade 12, please submit a copy of your student's school records and two letters of recommendation.

**Applications are considered once the $50 non-refundable application fee is received. The application fee for Upper School is $100.

Schedule a Student Visit

The Admissions Office will contact you to schedule a student visit day once the application has been submitted.

As part of the admissions process, all prospective new students are required to visit Oakhill Day School and spend time with our students and teachers. During the Visit Day, Prekindergarten and older students will complete an assessment exam. The age of the applicant will determine the length of their visit and all visits for Preschool through Eighth grade will be held during at least one school day. A second visit day may be requested.

Pretoddler and Toddler applicants will participate in an after-school group student visit with teachers and parents.

Parents of students entering 4th-8th Grade will be invited to a parent meeting with Admissions, including Oakhill's Head of School and the Intermediate and Middle School Division Director. The goal of the Family Meeting is to help answer questions about the upcoming school year and your student's potential enrollment at Oakhill.

Admissions Committee Review

The Admissions Committee will meet to decide on an enrollment decision.  Once the application is processed, Oakhill will notify the prospective family of status and provide information on the final step to complete enrollment.

* Student records and teacher recommendation letters must be submitted for students that have previously attended an educational program in order for application to be processed.

** Letters of recommendation are kept completely confidential and the teacher writing the letter should mail them directly to Oakhill Day School.  Letters of recommendation are required for students applying for First through Twelfth Grade and may be required for younger students.

*Please contact the Admissions Office for tuition information if interested in applying for mid-year admissions.
