Scholarships

Oakhill is excited to offer Merit Scholarships to students 3rd Grade and older. The number of annual scholarships given is based on the amount of funds available each year. Students who have previously applied are eligible to reapply. To have your child considered for a Merit Scholarship, please contact the Oakhill Admissions Office

Merit Scholarship

Merit Scholarship awards can be directly applied towards your yearly tuition. Oakhill's Merit Scholarships are available to incoming and current students for 3rd-8th grade and are renewable each year through the student reapplying. Financial need is not a consideration to receive an award and families can apply for assistance in addition to a student's application for a Merit Scholarship. Merit Scholarships will vary in amount.

Prospective Students

Awards are based on the student’s individual Oakhill assessment scores taken with Oakhill's Admissions Office during the admissions process, the character of the student, and the representation of Oakhill’s Lifeskills.

Prospective students will also submit a short essay and need a personal letter of recommendation from someone they are not related to (examples include but are not limited to: Priest/Pastor, Family Friend, Oakhill Alum, Coach, Community Leader, etc.).

Each student will need to write a short essay (150 words or less). You can choose from the following topics:

  • How do you see yourself making a difference at Oakhill?
  • What Oakhill lifeskill(s) do I best display and why?

Students are to hand write their essay and submit via email or hard copy to the Admissions Office.

Please note that potential scholarships will not be awarded until a student is through the admissions process and accepted for the coming school year. Essays are due to Admissions within 30 days of a notification of a students' admissions acceptance.

*Current families should contact the Admissions Office for information about how to apply.
