We are excited to announce the return of the Global Celebration on Wednesday, October 25. The Global Celebration evening event from 3:30-5:30 p.m. is an opportunity for Oakhill to celebrate the diverse cultures and heritages that make up our community.
The Global Celebration committee is inviting you to be part of the fun by hosting a display table featuring any personal items that may represent your heritage, a country/culture you are interested or passionate in, or display items collected from your travels. Displays may include clothing, household items, food samples, information, photos, and teaching a small craft/activity.
The Main Campus Gym will open on the day of the event for set-up at 2:30 p.m. and students are welcome to help. Any students helping set-up cannot check out of class until after 2:45 p.m. and displays must remain set-up until 5:30 p.m. when the event ends.
The environment is casual and allows individuals to learn and share with their family and friends. You will receive a stamp for the country your display represents that you can use to mark participants passports. There will be guest performances scheduled throughout the event for participants.
*All registrations must be received by October 20, 2023 for consideration in this year's event.
