Dear Oakhill Day School Community,
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Winter Break; I hope you enjoyed one another's company, family traditions, and (hopefully) some rest and relaxation of some sort!
We remain committed to ensuring the health and safety of our school community - keeping our students and staff in school. As we prepare to return to campus for the second semester, there are a few updates to be noted. Our current masking policy will remain in effect at this time.
You will continue to contact Nurse Cathy Bernholtz for all Covid related questions, information, or concerns. Even if you share information with your classroom teacher, you must contact Nurse Cathy immediately; she will answer your questions and discuss the course of action.
We will continue to look at each case carefully, determining proper direction for all involved. Nurse Cathy will continue to communicate necessary information through classroom email, and she will determine who is a high risk contact. There will be test-to-stay options available in many cases, keeping students and staff in school when possible. Families will continue to be able to make the decision that is right for them.
Please send any updated vaccination information to Nurse Cathy or update in SchoolDocs.
It is important to monitor your health symptoms and stay home from school if you have a positive diagnosis. We will be abiding by the new guidance from the CDC regarding isolation/quarantine protocols. The CDC has reduced the number of days that infected persons must remain isolated from ten days to five.
Thank you for your cooperation and flexibility as we continue to navigate the challenges of the pandemic. Let's make 2022 the best yet!
Suzanne
