AUCTION COMMITTEE MINUTES

The 2017-2018 Auction Committee wants to welcome you to A Night at Studio 47, Oakhill's annual auction and largest fundraising event of the year! Our committee of parents and Oakhill faculty are excited about this year's event because Oakhill is celebrating a special milestone, its 70th Anniversary! So this year, we thought what better way to celebrate our 70's than with a 70's disco party to top all others.

Our committee will send a newsletter each month to ensure that you are on top of all things auction in the coming months. We've got so many big treats planned for you this year, so be excited about what's to come!

Joining us as auctioneer this year is Tanna Guthrie. Tanna has been a part of the Oakhill Auction for over 12 years and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the school.

Tickets and tables are available for purchase, and there are many sponsorship opportunities available. And because this is an Auction, we're always on the lookout for great items, we've included some donation ideas in this newsletter for you to have over the Holiday break.

Let's celebrate our most successful Auction yet!

The 2017-2018 Auction Committee

Interested in joining next year's Auction Committee? Please email the Development Office to find out the date of our next committee meeting!

Join Us for Trivia Night!

We've had the Mum Sale and the Poinsettia/Note Card Sale, and now it's time to play a little trivia* to raise money that will help us underwrite the cost of hosting the largest fundraising event of the year! Oakhill Parent, Vanessa Lollar, and Oakhill Grandma, Michelle Nardella, have generously agreed to donate their business and more to this fun new auction fundraiser! It costs just $15 per person to play and if you bring an auction donation... your first drink is on us!

Space for this event is limited to 50 participants so be sure to grab your friends and sign up today!

*Remember, this event is for parents only... hopefully we'll see all the children at our Children's Auction on February 21!

Children's Auction 2018

The Children's Auction at Oakhill is an opportunity for the students to get in on the auction fun! Best of all... No tickets are needed to attend this event because it's FREE! There will be tons of toys, games, books, and tween/teen items for students to bid on with your help... as well as concessions with pizza from Pizza Street and a sundae bar!

More information will be distributed as we get closer to the Children's Auction which is on Wednesday, February 21 right after school. But until then, be on the lookout for information on the Children's Raffles that cost just $5 a ticket to fit a students' budget.

Children's Auction donations are great ways to get rid of new items that your child may receive as duplicate gifts or maybe you'll find some great deals on toys and teen items during after holiday sales. Item donation forms can be completed online.

There are several sponsorship opportunities that fit every budget.
