Leadership

Welcome to Oakhill

I hope that as you browse our website that you will get a glimpse of what makes Oakhill Day School special. Our individualized curriculum, strong mission and vision, long history in the Northland, and our educational philosophy are just a few of the qualities that allow Oakhill to make a positive impact, every day, on the lives of each of its students.

The rigorous academic and specialist programs, as well as the varied activities of everyday school life,  engage and challenge our students. Oakhill strives to develop caring and responsible individuals with educated hearts and minds. As an institution, we never lose sight of why we are here - to guide each one of our students to be responsible, compassionate, and active citizens of the world for today and tomorrow.

Oakhill families find warmth and security in the strong partnership that exists between home and school. We are a community of learners strengthened by the diversity of each of our members. The individual differences a child and their family bring to Oakhill are respected, welcomed, and valued.

In our over 70 years of working with and caring for children, it has been our experience that expecting great things of young learners inspires in them a sense of confidence, eagerness, and a love of learning that leads to great personal achievement.

We invite you to stop by and experience Oakhill Day School -- to see what makes us unique.

Sincerely,

Suzanne McCanles
Head of School
