Making the MOST 529 Plan Work for Your Oakhill Tuition

Did you know that you can use the MOST 529 Savings Program towards tuition at Oakhill Day School for kindergarten through eighth grade?

MOST, Missouri's 529 Savings Program, is a "backup plan" to grants and scholarships, derived from the 529 revenue code. The program started in the '90s to help families save for college expenses and included state incentives for opening an account. There is no minimum to start a 529 account and families with a 529 plan have the ability to save on taxes. You are now able to use your 529 Savings Plan at a large number of schools, including Oakhill!

The best part of the program... there are no age, length of time, or income limitations! You could even open an account for yourself if you have plans to go back to school!

The MOST 529 account used to only cover college tuition. But now you can use your account to pay tuition at K-12 private schools! This account is a pre-tax way to cover some of your tuition costs each year that your child is an Oakhill student.

For more information on the MOST 529 program, download their updated brochure, or visit their website at most529.com.

Financial Assistance

Oakhill awards over $250,000 in financial assistance each school year. Any family may apply. Unlike loans, the recipient is not required to pay back these funds. Financial awards are a reduction in tuition fees.

Oakhill Day School is committed to maintaining an economically diverse community, all income levels represented.  Because of this commitment, we generously offer financial aid for families who demonstrate need. We are also committed to our Oakhill community, one that is invested in the long-term success of our school and of our students - future leaders for our community, our country, our world.

Oakhill utilizes FAST (Financial Assistance for School Tuition), an online, third-party software program for the entry, processing, and calculation of financial information then used by The Financial Assistance Committee in determining financial need and recommended award amounts.

Our Financial Assistance program consists of three steps:

1. Submit a letter of intent.

The Letter of Intent notifies the Admissions Office that you are applying for Financial Assistance and reserves a place for your child in the appropriate classroom for the school year.

Click here for The Financial Assistance Letter of Intent.

All Letters of Intent received by the Admissions Office on or before January 31 will receive priority on Financial Assistance Award Opportunities but Oakhill will continue to offer Financial Assistance throughout the year as available.

Please contact the Admissions Office with questions.

2. Complete the FAST application online.
