Thank you for your show of support on Giving Tuesday!
Wow, another Giving Tuesday has come and gone! Because of YOU, this year's Giving Tuesday was a success for the students of Oakhill. Although we didn't reach our goal, we know that with incredible donors like you, we will hit the $150,000 Annual Fund goal! This year's Giving Tuesday event brought in $6,040 bringing our Annual Fund total to $37,864!
Did you know?
- $500 = Curriculum expense for 1 student
- $175 = Average professional development expense for 1 teacher
- $50 = Playground equipment for 1 classroom
- $35 = 3 books for the school library
Giving to the Annual Fund does not end with Giving Tuesday, there is still plenty of time to show your support of the work Oakhill does for its students by making a final, tax-deductible gift for 2018 by December 31. You can also give to the Giving Tuesday fundraiser through Facebook now through Friday, November 30.
It is easy to assume that tuition covers everything that you see at Oakhill; everything like maintained facilities, classroom supplies, and teacher salaries. The reality is that tuition at Oakhill covers around 68% of the school's cost/operating budget. Fundraising makes up 9% of the cost, that's where you Annual Fund dollars come into play. Without your support, Oakhill would not be able to purchase curricular supplies for the classroom, provide professional development for teachers, or keep up with the cost of regular facilities maintenance.
Gifts of all sizes positively affect the quality of education received by each Oakhill student.
