Oakhill Day School offers financial assistance to help make affording private education possible for families who might not otherwise be able. We encourage families with demonstrated need to apply for assistance once notified of your child’s acceptance.
Oakhill utilizes FAST (Financial Assistance for School Tuition), an online third-party system for entry, processing, and calculation of financial awards. The Financial Assistance Committee uses the information provided by FAST to determine the level of need and distribution of fair and objective assistance awards to applicant families.
Our Financial Assistance program consists of three steps:
- Submitting a letter of intent
- Completing the online FAST application
- Mailing in documentation
The Letter of Intent notifies the Admissions Office that you are applying for Financial Assistance and reserves a place for your child in the appropriate classroom for the school year.
The signed Letter of Intent is due to the Admissions Office by December 19.
Oakhill utilizes FAST (Financial Assistance for School Tuition), an online, third party software program for the entry, processing, and calculation of financial information used by The Financial Assistance Committee in determining financial need and recommended award amounts.
Before beginning the application, have the following documents ready:
The Family Letter -We cannot stress enough that each family should be as candid as possible when writing about their financial needs. This is your opportunity to express the unique needs of your family to The Financial Assistance Committee, which may or may not be obvious through tax information and other questions asked.
Please note: if you are stating decreased pay or change in employment as the reason for need, please submit a current pay stub and any other relevant documentation to Oakhill.
Tax Forms -
Your previous year's state and federal tax forms (including all schedules, tax returns, and W-2's)
All families must complete the online application by February 15 to be considered for financial assistance (there are paper "practice" forms available on FAST to assist you but these will not be accepted by Oakhill as an official application). An application is not complete until received and verified by FAST and all portions of the application have check marks. These check marks let you know what is still incomplete.
An application fee is due by credit/debit card at the end of the application session. If you do not have a credit card, please call the Admissions Director at 816.436.6228 for assistance.
After completing the online application, you are required to submit your previous year's state and federal tax forms by mail to both the FAST and the Oakhill Day School Admissions Office.
