Planning Today for a Better Tomorrow

4th Grade Planners

Did you know that not only do Oakhill students work hard with academics each day but they also work on learning a variety of life skills and executive function skills? It’s the Oakhill Way!

In the Intermediate Division students are introduced to paper planners which help with learning executive function and organizational skills. Executive function skills are so important for students because they allow them to stay organized, manage their time, and prioritize tasks. At this age, schoolwork gets more challenging and students are expected to handle more responsibility. Strong executive function skills help them plan and stay on top of assignments.

As students transition to Middle School, they’ll look at different ways to remain organized and they'll explore both an online planner option and a paper option to see which works better for them. Learning these skills helps prepare students for success in high school, college, and beyond!
