Our toddlers had so much fun diving into classic nursery rhymes through hands-on play! Each story came to life in a meaningful (and messy!) way.
We did many nursery rhymes throughout the week but had a few classroom favorites! For Humpty Dumpty, we built walls and used props to sing and retell the rhyme together. This helped build early storytelling and social skills. During Pat-a-Cake, we “baked” with play-doh, rollers, and letter stamps, strengthening little hands while exploring letters, sounds, and names. And for Jack and Jill, our water sensory bin was a big hit as students scooped, poured, and filled buckets, boosting fine motor skills and problem-solving along the way.
Through play, our toddlers built language, coordination, and confidence, all while having so much fun with their friends! We loved watching their imaginations grow and are looking forward to more storytelling during our Traditional Tales theme!
