The Pre-Toddlers have been exploring the world of shapes lately! This is also one of the core units in our Spanish curriculum, one that we build on each year. At this age, they are not expected to know the name of the shapes in Spanish, it’s just an introduction to the language.
The kiddos have a fun shape song that they love, of course. We also play a great matching game with cute plastic cookies that are different shapes. As I hold up the card and say the shape in Spanish, they have fun running up to me and touching the card with their cookie! It’s a popular one, for sure!
