Summer Tutoring 2025

We are excited to offer Oakhill Summer Tutoring 2025, a flexible and personalized program designed to meet the unique learning needs of each student from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Whether your child benefits from small group collaboration or individualized instruction, our summer tutoring options are here to help them stay engaged, gain confidence, and get ahead.

With interactive lessons led by passionate and experienced educators from Oakhill and surrounding districts, your child will have the opportunity to grow academically in a supportive and encouraging environment. From foundational skills to advanced topics, each session is designed to challenge, motivate, and build momentum for the year ahead.

We’re proud to provide this program as part of our continued commitment to your child’s success—because learning doesn’t take a break, and neither do we!

Session Dates:

• Session 1 June 2nd-June 27th
• Breaks: Oakhill is closed June 30th-July 4th
• Session 2 July 7th-July 31st

Fees

☀️ 1:1 Tutoring: $30 - $115 per lesson depending on grade level, subject, and tutor: 1:1 tutoring is built to best help your child advance in any subject. Sessions range from 30 min. to 1 hour.

☀️ Small-Group Tutoring: Ranges from $180 - $550 per Monthly session. Small group tutoring sizes range from 2-6 students depending on grade level.

Fully Charged & Tutoring: 

• Can my child attend both tutoring and camp?
  Absolutely! While tutoring and camp are separate programs, we are happy to help coordinate the transition. We can pick your child up from camp for their tutoring session and return them afterward to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for your family.

Orton-Gillingham Summer Tutoring Program

We are excited to offer personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions using the Orton-Gillingham approach this summer! This research-backed, multisensory method is designed to help students who struggle with reading, spelling, and writing due to dyslexia or other language-based learning challenges. The approach is systematic, diagnostic, and tailored to the individual needs of each learner.

Meet Your Summer Orton-Gillingham Certified Language Therapist: Julie is a certified Dyslexic Reading Therapist with extensive experience working with students from 1st grade through high school. In addition to being a high school library media specialist, Julie has taught high school communication arts, served as a middle and high school counselor, and currently teaches literacy courses online. She is passionate about helping students improve their reading and literacy skills, and she also tutors students for the ACT.

Julie holds certification from a Scottish Rite for Children (SRC)-approved program and is trained in the Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia approach.

Summer Tutoring Sessions:

• Dates: June 3rd - June 27th

• Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, starting as early as 7:30 AM

• July Sessions: Available based on interest and therapist availability

Summer Skills Books

With educational demands continuously changing, children need a review that gives them an academic edge and self-confidence when they return to school in the fall. These easy-to-use Math, Language Arts and Foreign Language review books serve this purpose.

Taking only 15-30 minutes three to four times per week over the summer, the Summer Skills review books provide a succinct review that is not overwhelming for students.

Generally the grade level just completed is ordered (Please do not order the book for the grade level your child is going into next school year); however, you and your child's teacher can best determine what grade level would be most suitable.

Each book is $25 and is not available in stores.

Please complete your order by May 10th, 2025. Books will be sent home in your child's backpack prior to the last day of school.

Summer Math Skills Sharpener Books:

• Review books for Pre-K (sample) - 7th Grade (sample), Basic Math Review for the Middle Grades (sample), Pre-algebra (sample), Algebra 1 (sample), Geometry (sample), High School Math Skills (sample)
• Each lesson gives students practice in a mix of skills
• Grade-appropriate auxiliary pages are included
• Answer key, solutions for each problem (4th grade and up), and tutorial "Help Pages" are included

Summer Language Arts Review:

• Review books for Pre-K (sample) - 7th grade (sample) and High School Prep (sample)*
• Lessons review mixed skills, including reading, writing, phonics, punctuation, grammar and more
• An answer key and a grade-appropriate reading list are included

*Helps students prepare for high school as well as entrance exams and the PSAT

Foreign Language Review:

• Spanish 1(MS & HS) (sample) and Spanish ll (HS) (sample)
• Prepare students for their first year of High School Spanish
• An answer key is included

Touch the Future Computer Keyboarding: (sample)

• A paper keyboard is included for students without access to a computer
