Tiny Target Takeover at Oakhill

With several grade levels participating, Tiny Target turned into a thematic learning experience at Oakhill. Over the course of a few months, Second Grade and Fifth Grade partnered together to share/hear pieces on entrepreneurship and banking skills!

Tiny Target expanded to inviting Kindergarten and First Grade as they were working on their money skills, faculty/staff, and 2nd Grade families to shop the 36 wide variety booths!

By connecting experiences such as the 5th Grade School of Economics trip, 2nd Grade Tiny Target, and the Toddler Lemonade Stand, students were able to see how skills build year after year across the Oakhill experience.

The collaboration continued as 4th Graders partnered with 2nd Grade to create commercials promoting their businesses using their design skills they have been developing in Innovation Lab. Before opening day, 3rd Graders also shared advice and reflections from their own Tiny Target experiences to help prepare the younger students for success and post ads in the hallways.

During Tiny Target, 2nd Graders applied real world math and financial literacy skills as they priced items, handled transactions, and counted change for their customers throughout the morning.
