It’s Fall, Y’all! Your Admissions Team’s Been Out and About!

Friends

Fall events present opportunities to connect and share our love of Oakhill over the past few weeks! We have had a BLAST meeting new friends, hanging out with old, and making memories as the weather gets cooler. Here is a quick recap of what we have been up to and a couple of highlights of what's to come:

  • Train Night was again a highlight filled with pizza, friends, and fun! We were able to share conductor hats (choo choo!) and celebrate with our youngest Panthers at the Kansas City Northern Miniature Railroad!
  • Admissions was again at the Helen Wills Golf Tournament on September 29. We handed out ODS koozies and served lunch to all of our golfers. Perfect weather with a great group of Oakhill supporters!
  • Gladfest came and went on October 3 & 4. This was the 46th annual and best year yet! We connected with many community members and were able to share Oakhill curriculum samples in the Kids' Corner on our Playground - the highlight for many festival guests. Thank you to all our families who walked in the parade or stopped by to say hello!
  • Our Student Ambassadors got to represent and share what it's like to be an Ambassador with our Board of Trustees on the 2025 Trustees Day! Ambassadors were then able to help our guests find their first "class" as they explored the Oakhill campus.
  • The Admissions Office was honored to welcome families at the Fall Farm Event, Apple of my Eye Orchard - it was great to share this evening with our families! Who doesn't like friends, apples, good food, and fun in the fall?!?
  • We were excited to be a first-year sponsor of the Haunted Campground at Smith's Fork Campground at Smithville Lake. A festive group of Oakhill team members handed out information and candy to a packed crowd - over 1,200 items were given out! This annual event will definitely be on our calendar for next year!
  • We have Kindergarten Showcase next week! If you have a Prekindergarten student (or know someone who does), this is a great way to learn more about Kindergarten, Lower School, and Oakhill’s curriculum. We cover dinner (did someone say pizza?) and you get to travel and explore with your student!

  • Parent Visit Days are back! We hosted our first round and got to spend time with some wonderful people. These are just for you, our awesome parents, to travel to classes, talk with teachers and administrators, and ask questions. Parents will not shadow their student's class, but do get a chance to have lunch with them! You must RSVP so we can make your personal schedule for the morning!
Fall fun

Ambassador Referral Program

Oakhill offers the Ambassador Referral Program for current families! We provide a tuition credit to your account for each new family referred to and enrolled at Oakhill that says they found their way because of YOU!

How it works: If we receive a 5 Full Day student that your family referred, you will receive a $500 credit on your account*!

More information on the Ambassador Program can be found online, in the Oakhill Day School Parent Handbook, or by contacting the Admissions Office.

*Tuition credits are applied in October/November for the year a new student is enrolled.

Thank you for joining us to share your love of Oakhill with others!
