This year Oakhill Day School was proudly honored as the 2026 Rita Blitt Kindest School in Kansas City at the Synergy Services 36th Annual Kindest Kansas Citian Awards. In addition to being named the Kindest School in Kansas City, Oakhill's very own Evie M. won the student essay competition! Evie wrote about her friend from the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter Mrs. Kim and both were honored as Kindest Kansas Citians. You can read Evie's essay here:
It would not be possible for Oakhill to receive this award without the kindness that is shown day in and day out from not only our students, but faculty and community members. Oakhill truly is a special community and it was an incredible honor to be the recipient of this year's Kindest School Award!
