PK-4th Grade Winter Sports!

It's almost that time of year again for winter sports! This year we are offering basketball for our K-4th grade students and cheerleading for our PK-3rd grade students. I am excited to kick off the season in November, and I wanted to give you some information regarding these two sports. Below, I will list each sport and grade level along with details and practice times. You can sign up here. Please let me know if you have any questions!

 

PK-K Cheerleading

*First practice is Thursday, November 21st

Practice Times

 Thursdays (3:20-4:00)

 All practices are listed on the all-school calendar

· Cheerleaders will be provided a bow, cheer shirt, and pom poms.

· Cheerleaders will cheer at our K/1 and 2nd grade basketball games. (See basketball game schedules below)

 

1st-3rd Cheerleading

*First practice is Tuesday, November 19th

  Practice Times

Tuesdays (3:20-4:00 pm)

 All practices are listed on the all-school calendar

· Cheerleaders will be provided a bow, cheer shirt, and pom poms.

· Cheerleaders will cheer at a selection of middle school basketball games this season.

 

K/1 Basketball

*First practice is Friday, January 10th

Practices

Fridays (3:20-4:00pm) 

 All practices are listed on the all-school calendar

Games Schedule (Saturdays @ 9:00am)

· Teams are coed.  

· Players will get a reversible jersey and will need to wear black shorts each week.

· Teams will switch each week to even out the playing field.

· This is a 3v3 league, and we play on the side full courts.

 

2nd Grade Basketball

*First practice is Friday, January 5th

Practices

Fridays (3:20-4:00pm) 

 All practices are listed on the all-school calendar

Games Schedule (Saturdays @ 10:00am)

March 1st
 

· Teams are coed.  

· Players will get a reversible jersey and will need to wear black shorts each week.

· Teams will switch each week to even out the playing field.

· This is a 3v3 league, and we play on the side full courts.

 

 

3rd Grade Girls Basketball

*First practice is Thursday, November 14th

Practice Times 

Thursdays (3:30-4:30pm)

All practices are listed on the all-school calendar

· Games will be in the Pius League at St. Pius High School.

· Practices are once per week.

· Players will be provided with a jersey and will need to wear plain black shorts each week.

· This is a 4v4 league played on a slightly smaller court (full half court). 

· The game schedule is not out yet, and I will update you as soon as I receive it. 

· The season normally ends in the last week of February.  

 

4th Grade Girls Basketball

*First practice is Monday, November 11th

Practice Times

 Mondays (3:30-4:30pm) & Wednesdays (3:30-4:30pm) 

 All practices are listed on the all-school calendar

· Games will be in the Pius League at St. Pius High School.

· Practices are twice per week.

· Players will be provided with a jersey and will need to wear plain black shorts each week.

· This is a 5v5 league played on a full size court with traditional basketball rules. 

· The game schedule is not out yet, and I will update you as soon as I receive it.  

· The season normally ends in the last week of February.

 

3rd Grade Boys Basketball

 *First practice is Friday, November 22nd

Practice Times

Fridays (4:05-5:05pm)

All practices are listed on the all-school calendar  

· Games will be in the Pius League at St. Pius High School.

· Practices are once per week.

· Players will be provided with a jersey and will need to wear plain black shorts each week.

· This is a 5v5 league played on a full size court with traditional basketball rules. 

· The game schedule is not out yet, and I will update you as soon as I receive it. 

· The season normally ends in the last week of February.
