As the new school year kicks off, it's crucial that all families take a few moments to update their child’s SchoolDoc profile. This important step ensures that our school is equipped with the most accurate and up-to-date information, which is essential for the safety and well-being of all students.

Why is this important?

• Emergency Contacts: In the event of a health-related issue, having accurate emergency contact information allows us to quickly reach out to the right people, ensuring streamlined communication and swift response times. Additionally, your SchoolDoc profile includes permissions for emergency transportation by ambulance and your family’s preferred hospital in event of an emergency. This information is crucial for ensuring your child receives prompt and appropriate care, aligned with your family’s wishes.
• Health History & Allergies: Knowing your child’s health history, including important details like allergies or asthma, allows our staff to provide appropriate care in any situation. This information is vital for preventing health emergencies and ensuring that your child receives the necessary care when needed. This also includes authorizations for both prescription and over-the-counter medications to be administered during the school day.
• Field Trips & Chaperones: Up-to-date profiles allow us to efficiently build our chaperone list for upcoming field trips and ensure that your child is authorized to participate.
• Immunizations & Exemptions: Accurate immunization records, or documented exemptions, are crucial for maintaining compliance with public health regulations.
• Sports Physicals: For our 4th-8th grade students, keeping track of sports physicals is essential. Updated profiles help us ensure that students are cleared to participate in athletics, contributing to their safety on and off the field.

Our goal is to have 100% school participation and completion by August 30th. All students and families who reach 100% completion will be entered into a drawing for an Oakhill Back to School Basket.
