Brooke McCanles, ODS Class of 2018, stopped by Ms. Jackson's Career Exploration class to share about her experience as a Field Representative for a Kansas senator.
Several students indicated interest in careers in politics, and Brooke explained her particular role in the larger political system. As a Field Representative, Brooke meets with local Kansans, gathers information and opinions, and passes constituent thoughts on to the senantor and his team in Washington, DC. Without people doing jobs like Brooke's, the will of the people would have a harder time being shared with lawmakers! We appreciate Brooke taking the time to share her job with the 7th graders as they consider what their futures hold!
