Meet Your Fall Coaches!

Great programs start with great people, and we have an incredible group ready to make this fall fun, challenging, and memorable for our Panthers. We have some familiar faces returning, some coaches stepping into new roles, and a few new additions to the Oakhill community. Let’s meet the team behind the teams!

Coach Fernandez

Coach Chris Fernandez | Cross Country

Coach Fernandez is back and ready to help run some miles and make memories this Cross Country season! For him, every practice should have three things: a whole lot of fun, an opportunity to grow, and a focus on goals worth chasing. Each practice, the team might be tackling a scavenger hunt, battling through a Minute-to-Win-It challenge, working through a creative workout, or chasing down a new Personal Record. The goal isn’t just to run faster; it’s to build confidence, celebrate progress, and discover just how much more you can do than you thought possible. One thing is guaranteed: no two practices will look quite the same!

Coach Jackson

Coach Joy Jackson | Cross Country

We couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome Coach Jackson to the Cross Country team! She’s no stranger to supporting our runners, having been the person who sticks around at meets until every last Panther crosses the finish line. After doing an incredible job helping lead our Track & Field athletes in previous seasons, she’s bringing that same enthusiasm, encouragement, and athlete-first mindset to Cross Country. We can’t wait to see the impact she makes!

Coach Hoss

Coach Austen Hoss | Flag Football

Firefighter by day, football coach by night! Coach Hoss is back and somehow finds a way to bring just as much energy to the field as he does everywhere else. We’re incredibly thankful he continues to share his time and talents with our athletes. Word around the firehouse is Coach Hoss has some new tricks in the playbook and is ready to turn up the heat on opposing defenses this fall!. And if your athlete thinks they’re fast, tell them to challenge Coach Hoss to a race. We dare them.

Coach Robinson

Coach Shelby Robinson | Cheer

Coach Robinson is ready to stunt into another Cheer season with our South Building Panthers, and no cap, it’s about to be a vibe! She brings years of coaching experience and knows the cheer world inside and out. Expect big energy, new skills, stunts that absolutely eat, with performances at select home volleyball games that are sure to have the crowd hyped. With Coach Robinson leading the way, you already know the uniforms and looks will be on point!

Coach Tefteller

Coach William Tefteller | Volleyball

Coach Tefteller is back to help lead our Girls Volleyball program and continue building excitement around the sport at Oakhill! In addition to coaching our Panthers, he leads a high-level club volleyball program and brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and passion to the court. He’s a great teacher, an enthusiastic leader, and if you spend enough time around one of his practices, you’re almost guaranteed to leave with a memorable Coach Tefteller saying or two!

Coach Roberts

Coach Laura Roberts | Volleyball

Coach Roberts may be new to Oakhill, but she is definitely not new to volleyball! Having been around the sport for much of her life, she brings experience, enthusiasm, and plenty of energy to our program. She recently shared that she has never flown on an airplane before, but this season she’s ready to help our Panthers reach some new heights of their own! We’re excited to see her build relationships with our athletes while helping each player grow their skills and confidence on the court.

Coach Bruner

Coach Pam Bruner | Volleyball

Another new face in the Oakhill community comes with a whole lot of coaching experience! Coach Bruner has coached at some incredibly high levels and across just about every sport you can imagine. What excites us most, though, is her philosophy: challenge athletes to grow while making sure every athlete feels known, valued, and important to the team. That fits perfectly with what Oakhill Athletics is all about, and we can’t wait to see the knowledge, energy, and perspective she brings to our Panthers this season.

Whether your Panther is returning to a favorite sport or trying something completely new, there’s a place for them at Oakhill Athletics! This coaching staff is ready to help our athletes learn, compete, laugh, build confidence, and discover just how much they’re capable of accomplishing.

The coaches are ready. The teams are forming. Now we just need YOU, our Panthers!
