When you look up the word "involved" you might find the names David and Jackie Conkling referenced! Their son, David, graduated 8th grade at Oakhill in 2018, yet their connection to Oakhill remains strong!
David and Jackie were involved in every facet of the school from organizing, cooking homemade dishes, and working the concession stand for home games to being leaders in the PTO and Booster Club; from building parade floats to chairing the Golf Tournament; and from volunteering in the lunchroom to taking pictures at ALL of the sporting events. They were everywhere, all the time; their presence could be felt at every turn!
When David graduated, we knew their time and talent would graduate with him! But...David and Jackie have remained engaged and involved at Oakhill during the last 7 years. They have attended the Annual Auction, helped with the Golf Tournament, and supported in meaningful ways throughout the years.
If you have an athlete in fall sports, you have most likely seen David at the games and meets - there with his BIG camera...walking the sidelines, snapping photos, and having the teams pose for pics! David is a talented photographer, and WE are lucky to be the recipients of his passion...his talent!
If you see David and Jackie, please say hello...and tell them "thank you" - for staying connected, remaining loyal to Oakhill, and for being an alumni family we can count on!! And, ask them about their son, David - he is doing great things in college and beyond!
