Oakhill Day School Celebrates the Season with Annual Holiday Shows

To kick things off, we pulled the Annual Auction Raffle—congratulations to the winners, who now have their choice of cash or a trip to Hawaii! A big shoutout as well to Mrs. Egbert’s first grade class, this year’s top raffle ticket sellers. They’ll celebrate with an ice cream party when we return in the new year! Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s raffle, helping raise over $24,000 in support of this year’s auction.

The show itself opened with a special moment as Alumni Dasha McDonald (‘16) shared how her Oakhill experiences shaped who she is today.

On Tuesday evening, December 9, our Kindergarten through 8th grade students performed for a full audience of families and friends. Each grade level showcased their musical abilities through a selection of festive holiday songs, creating a warm and spirited celebration to kick off the season! The following morning, Wednesday, December 10, our Early Childhood students continued the tradition with their own delightful performance. It is certainly a core event of Oakhill as we get to see so many smiling faces in the audience supporting our students as an entire community.

Events like these remind us what makes Oakhill so special—a community that comes together to support, celebrate, and cherish the talents and passions of our students and staff.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents, grandparents, and family members who joined us for both performances. Your presence and support make this tradition meaningful year after year.

A very special thank you goes to Jo Hill and Tiffany Leever for their dedication and hard work in organizing the Lower, Intermediate, and Middle School performances. We also thank Barb Ely and Jo Hill for their leadership and coordination of the Early Childhood Holiday Show. Their commitment ensures that this event continues to shine as one of the highlights of our school year.
