Oakhill Day School celebrated the opening of our new Welcome Project space, a milestone made possible through the generosity and commitment of our entire community.
What began as a practical campus need grew into something far more meaningful thanks to the many individuals who gave their time, expertise, and support throughout the process. From early planning conversations to the final stages of construction, this project reflects a shared belief in continually enhancing the Oakhill experience for our students and families.
This transformative addition includes a new entrance to the gym, a welcoming lobby space, 13 additional restrooms across campus, and new digital displays that will help share stories and celebrate our community. Each element was thoughtfully designed to improve both the daily experience and the way we gather for events, performances, and athletics.
With more than $600,000 raised, we are incredibly grateful to our donors whose generosity brought this vision to life. Their willingness to invest in Oakhill has created a space that will serve as a welcoming entry point for students, families, alumni, and guests for years to come.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the volunteers, board members, faculty, and construction partners who dedicated countless hours to ensuring the success of this project. Their collaboration, care, and attention to detail made all the difference. We are especially thankful for those who consistently showed up throughout the process, offering guidance, problem solving, and a steady commitment to getting every detail right.
This new space stands as a lasting reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with purpose and generosity. It will enhance daily life on campus in countless ways, from easing arrival and event flow to creating a more welcoming and inclusive experience for all who visit. We are deeply grateful to everyone who believed in this vision and helped make it a reality.
