Movin and Groovin to Music with Mrs. Hill

I am loving my new role as the prekindergarten through third grade music teacher. We are working on the fundamental elements of music. The students are learning how to read music notation and to identify the music notes and their values. We are always up moving, playing instruments, singing, playing games, and dancing with scarves. I love to provide a safe place where students can express themselves through song.

We are getting ready to start a second and third grade choir that will meet on Mondays starting October 21 and ending on December 9th. We will meet in the music room at 3:20 until 4:00. This choir will be performing at Crown Center on Thursday, December 12, at 6:30 pm. We will be sharing our time slot with the middle school choir and then singing the Hallelujah Chorus with them at the end. This concert will be 45 minutes long.
