Roots and Routes: We Need You!

Roots and Routes: We Need You!

Oakhill Day School cares about our earth, and we start right here in our watershed. Did you know that water falling on Oakhill flows to Line Creek, then to the Missouri River, then the Mississippi River and then into the Gulf of America?

Our students, such as those in Compost Club, do a great job educating peers, but educating community members is more challenging. We need your help adults!

We are looking for volunteers to help us educate the public at Gladfest 2026 (October 2-3).

  • Attend/watch one hour of stormwater education online.
  • Visit the Living Lab for a guided tour.
  • Help conduct tours alongside Oakhill students and staff on October 2 or 3 at Gladfest.

There will be more opportunities to be involved, including native plantings and volunteer workdays, but the key commitment is the above 3 items.

If you are interested, please complete this interest form. Questions can also be submitted on the form. Thank you for consideration, and we look forward to hearing from you!
