World Kindness Day-- Innovation Lab

World Kindness Day-- Innovation Lab

At Innovation Lab this week we are talking about the upcoming World Kindness Day, which is celebrated on November 13. We started by reading a story called, “The Little Spot of Kindness” by Diane Alber. In this story, there is a yellow spot that takes us on a journey of learning what it is to be kind, and reminding us of ways to be kind to others.

The spot tells us to place a little spot on our hands and to use that spot as a visual reminder to be kind. Your kiddo will have a colored dot on their hand from our classroom. If you see it please ask them about their dot, why they have it, and ask them about something kind they did, or something kind someone did for them.

I challenged them to do something kind to someone this week and to find me to share their kind act. :) We have had great discussions about how there is a special day to help celebrate kindness, but we can choose to be kind every day.

Thank you for your understanding and support.  Have a great week, and don’t forget to do something kind on Wednesday, and every day!
