The 8th grade students had fun making big head sculptures of various characters. They began by choosing their character and using a beach ball as an armature for support. They used papier-mache to apply 5 layers of newspaper. They added additional features with cardboard and newspaper and applied another layer of mache. Some students also used insulation foam. They painted them with acrylic paint and spray paint and added any additional details using a variety of materials. Here are some examples!
