5th grade went on a field trip to Bartle Hall where they participated in iBuild! The iBuild Showcase allows students the best overview of the construction industry in a single venue. The 5th graders got to participate in a variety of hands-on activities as they interacted with dozens of exhibitors.
At this field trip, they also were in a competition called ISBE (Institute for Shaping the Built Environment). This project took several weeks to complete and the students worked in teams to create a green space for our school. We sent 10 projects to get judged and we got 1st and 2nd place!! To make it even more impressive, we entered the 6th grade competition (since there isn't a 5th grade competition). This means our 5th graders were the best in 6th grade!
