Students Who Serve

Elijah does service hours.

A key element of Oakhill's whole-child education is an emphasis on service. In Middle School, students have service requirements that they must meet each year. Students can serve within the school community or in the community at large, even out of the country!

By the time an Oakhill student graduates, they have completed at least 45 hours of community service! Quite a few students go even further, earning the President's Volunteer Service Award at the Bronze (50-74 hours), Silver (75-99 hours), and Gold (100+ hours) levels!

Education is more than just curriculum; at Oakhill, education is learning how to improve yourself AND improve the world. Check out these students who serve!

6th-grader Elijah served with his grandpa at Helping Hands Construction Ministry!

Students serve at Global Celebration.

7th-graders Wyatt (far right) and Hudson (middle), along with 6th-grade Clark (far left) help students pick out bracelets at the Global Celebration. These students staffed the table for the Pulsera Project, and all the table's proceeds supported the project!

Alex service hours

Alex, a 7th grader, reads to Early Childhood students as part of a Panthers on the Prowl activity. Alex served by helping the teacher hand out snacks, read books, and keep kids happy!

Compost Club

A favorite Oakhill-based service project is helping in the garden at the Living Lab! Here, 8th graders (from left) Daniel, Jackson, Sophie, Emma, Liam, Annabelle, and Hadley move a compost bin.
