Kindergarten and First Grade students have been loving the excitement of Book Madness, a fun, tournament-style reading challenge featuring this year’s MASL Award nominees!
We started with 8 fantastic books, and in each class period, students listened to two stories go head-to-head. After each matchup, they voted for their favorite—just like filling out a real tournament bracket!
The enthusiasm has been contagious as students cheered for their top picks, shared their thoughts, and eagerly watched to see which books would move on to the next round.
Now, after many close “games” and some very tough decisions, we’ve reached the championship round! Our final two books are:

The anticipation is building, and choosing a favorite is getting harder than ever!
