What is the Mighty Oak Fund?

The Mighty Oak Fund is Oakhill Day School’s way of rallying our community to ensure every student gets the very best education possible! It’s more than just a fundraiser—it’s how we come together to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of education. From providing scholarships to upgrading facilities and enhancing programs, the Mighty Oak Fund is the heartbeat of our school. You’re not just donating—you’re investing in brighter futures.

How Does an Oakhill Student Benefit from My Contribution?

Your gift to the Mighty Oak Fund is like a boost button for every student at Oakhill! Here’s how your contribution helps:

• Comfortable and Functional Spaces: Our facilities are thoughtfully designed with just enough bells and whistles to be cozy and practical, creating a welcoming environment for learning. Your donation helps us maintain these spaces to be safe and inviting, while also supporting the infrastructure needed for innovative learning experiences. What is the Gift Matching Program?

Want to make your gift go even further? You’ll love this: many companies match their employees’ donations, meaning your gift could be doubled or even tripled! It’s like finding a secret bonus level!

Here’s how to check if your employer offers matching:

1. Ask your HR team about their matching gift program.
2. If they do, submit your donation to Oakhill, and they’ll match it—just like that!

And guess what? You get credit for both your gift and the matching one. Cha-ching!

Our Goal: $350,000

This year, our goal for the Mighty Oak Fund is set at $350,000. This ambitious target reflects our commitment to enhancing every aspect of Oakhill Day School and ensuring that our students have the best possible educational experience. Every dollar you contribute helps us get closer to reaching this goal and making a lasting impact on our school community.

When are Pledges/Gifts Due?

All donations are 100% tax-deductible (yay for tax benefits!). Donations and paid pledges are due by the end of our fiscal year, July 31, 2025. You’ve got time, but we suggest bookmarking this page so you don’t forget.

• Legacy Society: $50,000 and up
• Founders Club: $25,000 - $49,999
• Circle of Excellence: $10,000 - $24,999
• Head of School: $5,000 - $9,999
• Pride Pack: $1,000 - $4,999
• 1947 Club: $500 - $999
• Teal and White: $250 - $499
• Friends of Oakhill: $1 - $249

What’s New for 2024-2025?

This year, we’re excited to offer impact area giving! That means you can choose to direct your contribution to specific categories that matter most to you, like:

Special Mighty Oak Fund & Additional Advancement Events

1. Golf Tournament – September 30, 2024
   Swing into action at our Golf Tournament! This year marks the final chapter of this cherished event, so join us for a round of golf and help support the Mighty Oak Fund. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a day on the greens while contributing to a fantastic cause.

2. Giving Tuesday – December 3, 2024
   Join us for Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity! It’s a fantastic opportunity to support the Mighty Oak Fund and help Oakhill make an even greater impact on our students’ education.

3. Acorn Day Celebration – April 25, 2025
   Celebrate with us at the Acorn Day Celebration, marking the start of graduation season for our Kindergarten students moving up to 1st grade and our current 8th grade students. This special event also helps raise funds necessary to offset the expense of keeping our campus clean and welcoming. It’s a day of joy, milestones, and community support.

4. Oakhill Auction – April 12, 2025 Learn More about the event and sponsorships!
   Get ready for the Oakhill Auction, themed “Lights, Camera, Oakhill”! While not part of the Mighty Oak Fund, this exciting event is crucial for raising funds for Tuition Assistance and Faculty Professional Development. It’s an evening of fun, community, and support for our school’s future. This year's auction goal is $305,000.
