Oakhill’s Wish List: A “drive” for Support

Oakhill’s Wish List: A “drive” for Support

After hosting two days of incredible Grandparents and Special Friends Days—where we even had a family travel all the way from Honolulu (which might just be the record for most miles traveled!)—one need became very clear: a golf cart for our events and tours. We were fortunate enough to have the Johnson Family generously donate the use of their golf cart for the event, and with Alyssa Kimbrough volunteering to chauffeur our visitors, it truly highlighted how helpful a people mover can be. It made our grandparents feel like the royalty that they are! A golf cart would be an amazing addition to the Oakhill community, providing an easy, accessible way to transport guests during events and campus tours, ensuring everyone can fully enjoy the Oakhill experience.

Additionally, a utility gator has been on our wish list for quite some time (many, many, many years!). Watching our dedicated maintenance and grounds crew carry tables overhead or push carts with 50 chairs down North Cherry Street makes it obvious just how essential this vehicle would be. The gator would save them tons of effort, allowing them to focus more on maintaining and beautifying our campus instead of carting heavy items back and forth (north building, south building, north, south—you get the point!).

We’re hoping a family might consider stepping up to help us fulfill these wish list items—whether it’s a new or gently used golf cart or utility gator. If your family is upgrading or no longer in need of these vehicles, Oakhill would be so grateful for your donation and promise to put them to great use!

How You Can Help:
If your family or a group of families would prefer to donate the funds necessary to purchase these vehicles, we would greatly appreciate your support. Your generosity will not only enhance our campus operations but also save our facilities team thousands of steps each day (seriously, it’s like they’re getting Disney World-level steps!). Please contact Taylor Clevenger to learn more about how to contribute and help make this wish a reality for Oakhill.

Thank you for helping us continue to improve and grow!
