I enjoyed an incredible round of golf at The Bluffs on Monday - a beautiful day for the Helen Wills’ Annual Golf Tournament! Golfers from the past and present; golfers from businesses who serve or partner with Oakhill; golfers who are considered Oakhill friends and family showed up for the tournament - to play, enjoy one another’s company, and to support Oakhill Day School!
With this fundraising event behind us, we now turn our attention to The Mighty Oak Fund - a celebratory fundraising “event” that will last for 31 days - the entire month of October. THIS letter officially kicks off our Mighty Oak Fund campaign for the 24/25 school year - a campaign to raise $350,000.00 by December 31st! Although we technically have until next July to meet this goal, we hope to complete the campaign before the new calendar year!
I am beyond excited to share some incredible news … drum roll please … Oakhill has received a generous matching gift for $50,000 to get this campaign off to a strong start! A huge thank you to Josh and Brittany Perkins, our Lower School Divisional Chairs, for making this match happen; I know their generosity and leadership will inspire others in our community to give … to match the $50,000 … to help us inch closer to our overall goal … to truly kick this campaign off in a BIG and bold way!
We have an exciting month ahead! You will see members of the Board of Trustees, leaders of our PTO, and the entire Advancement team at morning car line THIS Thursday … to encourage participation in the Mighty Oak Fund campaign, to say thank you for contemplating a stretch gift to the campaign, and to answer any questions you might have about the month ahead!
We are proud of the leadership and vision of our Honorary Chairs, Mark and Karen Mathes … we are proud of the Divisional Chairs, our Board Chair, our Grandparent Chairs, the faculty and staff Chairs, and our Alumni Chairs - their leadership, their voices, and their personal stories will provide the inspiration and motivation to make sure our goal is achieved! I can’t say enough about this team of donors … givers … philanthropists … friends … and believers of all things Oakhill!
