Meet Ms. Carpenter our TA in Mrs. Johnson's Room!

We are excited to introduce you to one of our new Teaching Assistants, Ms. Carpenter. She is working in one of our Preschool classrooms with Mrs. Johnson. Ms. Carpenter has a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. We are happy to welcome her to our Oakhill staff.

What position did you hold prior to this current position? 

Toddler Assistant Teacher 

What made you interested in this new career opportunity? 

Seeing the growth and development in the students and a growth opportunity for myself at Oakhill. 

What do you hope to bring to this position and/or your students?

A warm and supportive environment to learn and grow in. 

What excites you about this new position? 

 Being challenged and having a new experience.

What led you to education? 

The desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

What is your favorite memory of school from when you were a child?

Being awarded for completing a Spelling Bee, my artwork being on display, multi cultural days, and the teachers who poured their heart into what they did. Specifically my Third grade teacher Mrs. Curry, she was so kind and caring!

How did you get ready/prepare for your first day of school at Oakhill Day School?

I got a good nights sleep!
