This is my fortieth year teaching vocal music to various ages. Last year I taught first through the sixth grade vocal music and sixth through eighth grade choir and drama.

What made you interested in this new career opportunity?

I have always loved teaching music and I wanted to focus on the fundamentals with the younger students. I remember singing and sharing the joy of music with very young singers and I wanted to get back into it.

What do you hope to bring to this position and/or your students?

I hope to give children the love of music.

What excites you about this new position?

I am excited to watch the students grow in music fundamentals and listen to their developing voices. Being a part time teacher gives me the freedom to take care of my 92 year old parents.

When I was in the 6th grade, I knew I wanted to be a vocal music teacher.

What is your favorite memory of school from when you were a child?

My favorite memories of school are working as a big group and putting musicals together.
