Growing Memories at Jowler Creek

Pretoddler students and parents on their field trip

April 20th marked the day that our Pretoddler class took an adventure outdoors at Jowler Creek Winery! What a lovely sunny day to experience our science unit of trees, grass, and flowers!

We began with a hayride through the vineyard. Our first stop was at the tree grove, where we looked at the green trees that already have green leaves. We also spotted the brown trunk on the trees.

Next stop was the sheep pen. Unfortunately, the sheep were very scared of us. We watched them run into a tree grove to be as far from us as possible.

Our last stop on the hayride was the chicken coop. Here we enjoyed feeding the chickens mealworms. We were even given the opportunity to select an egg from the coop and take it home!

Since we are studying flowers too, we planted our own sunflowers. We will watch them grow in our classroom windows!
