Second Grade’s Mini Macy’s Parade

Second grade students explored Balloons Over Broadway through hands on research and learning in the Innovation Lab, in their classrooms, and even at home. They discovered how the famous parade puppets are designed and engineered, gathering new information about creativity, problem solving, and the history behind the tradition. 

Using their knowledge, each student planned, designed, and built their own float, which they proudly showcased in a parade through the halls of Oakhill Day School.
