Good, Loving, and New

Good, loving, and new: that's how Oakhill's new 7th graders described their first few weeks at Oakhill! Alayna, Miku, and Emma (pictured, from left) joined us from local public schools, and they've found Oakhill is a great place to be. "The people here are nice," said Emma. Alayna agreed: "The people are the biggest difference I've noticed. They're nice and respectful!"

All three students had toured Oakhill, shadowed for a day, and met with teachers and staff prior to their first day here. As Miku explained, she felt "prepared and ready" for the change from public to Oakhill! There will still pleasant surprises, though. For example, Alayna was surprised by how good the food is here!

They all have things they're looking forward to this year. Emma has joined the volleyball team, plus she's excited to "learn more math"! Miku is also looking forward to math class staying positive (math pun!). Alayna is looking forward to the mixers, and she's hoping to do dance later this year!

Miku, Emma, and Alayna may be joining middle school in the middle, but it already feels like we've known them forever. We are so glad they are here!
