Smartboard-ering on Genius

This week, 7th graders practiced editing using smartboard technology. They fixed the errors in this sentence:

he had too be silent so He wouldnt woke thebaby

One student had the smartboard pen, and a second student verbally guided them on how to fix one of the errors. While the actual editing review was simple, the activity also provided an opportunity to practice using specific descriptions and distinct instructions. 

For example, in order for London to direct Sophia effectively, London had to first know that "wouldnt" was missing an apostrophe, and then she had to give Sophia clear and specific instructions on how to add the apostrophe.

Even though Isaiah can't see him, Henry couldn't help but gesture while directing Isaiah to correct "woke" to "wake."
