From Sketches to Screeches: Monsters Delivered!

Our 6th graders delivered their 3D-printed monsters to their 2nd grade "clients," and their excitement was so fun to watch! After weeks of designing in Tinkercad, refining their models, and carefully bringing the 2nd graders’ detailed sketches to life, the 6th grader’s final creations were met with huge smiles and lots of enthusiasm. Each monster perfectly reflected its young designer’s vision, with unique shapes, fun details, and lots of personality.

But our fun didn’t stop there! Along with their 3D-printed monsters, our 6th graders took the 2nd graders’ story outlines and brought them to life through the creative digital stories and trading cards they created for them Canva. I love how much thought and creativity went into every part of this project, from the first sketches and drafted stories to the final designs. The collaboration between our 6th and 2nd graders made this experience so special and watching the younger students light up when they saw their ideas come to life made all the hard work worth it.

This project was a true blend of creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork and I couldn’t be prouder of our 6th graders!
