They'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain On Their Bikes

Each year, Oakhill's sixth graders take a trip to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in Jasper, Arkansas. This experiential trip allows students to explore their boundaries, push their comfort zones, and discover more about who they are. This year, the students had the opportunity to practice flexibility and resilience, as well!

On April 9, they headed south to the Crystal Bridges Museum before moving on to Horseshoe Canyon. Halfway to Arkansas, they learned that the ranch's water main had broken, and they couldn't go any more! The 6th graders still had a great day in the beautiful environs of Crystal Bridges, and then they headed home.

Two weeks later, Trip Take 2 happened! The students were thrilled to make it, and the ranch delivered on outdoor thrills. From mountain biking to rock climbing, from the adventure course to the barn, each and every student found out they could do more than they expected of themselves.
