Three New 6th Graders, Infinite Fun

The Oakhill Middle School is excited to welcome (left to right) Harrison Wegner, Haiden Park, and Kendell Kenney to 6th grade! All three started the year ready to learn and grow. They jumped right in to The Oakhill Way!

All three students say they've had fun and made friends in the first few weeks of school. "I'm pretty much friends with all the boys in my grade already," Harrison said. Kendell has joined both drama (she's the Seahorse in The Little Mermaid) and volleyball. She says she's made good connections with her cast- and teammates! Haiden is looking forward to joining e-Sports and soccer. "Our soccer team's going to cook," he said. (For those of you new to current slang, that's a good thing!)

Oakhill has some surprising and exciting differences for the kids! All of them are excited to still have recess in 6th grade. Kendell loves the amount of responsibility allowed Oakhill students, like being trusted to go from class to class without adults keeping them in line. 

It's been a great start to the year, but Haiden, Harrison, and Kendell know more fun is coming! Kendell is excited for all of the field trips ("I've forgotten what field trips are like!"), and Haiden and Harrison are looking forward to the Horseshoe Canyon Ranch trip in fourth quarter.

We're so glad that Kendell, Harrison, and Haiden will be a part of making this year AMAZING!
