Kindergarten Math

Each monthly session, students will explore foundational math concepts such as number recognition, counting, and simple addition and subtraction. Activities will build on the skills introduced in their Kindergarten year.

Session 1: June 2 - June 30           Session 2: July 8 - July 30

Concepts Include:

Number Concepts and Numerical Operations

• Count to 100 and recognize numbers to 100.
• Understand place value: tens and ones.

Number Sense

• Count forward and backward by 1 for numbers up to 50.
• Introduce skip counting by 5s and 10s.
• Represent two-digit numbers with base-10 manipulatives.

Fractions, Decimals, and Percent

• Recognize and represent ½ in shapes.

Operations

• Add and subtract.

Algebraic Relationships

• Recognize and create two-step patterns.
