Art Installations by 3rd grade

Art Installations by 3rd grade

The 3rd grade students learned about Argentinean artist Luis Tomasello. His
large-scale installation, Chromoplastique Mural, is in the Block Building at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. It is made with a pattern of wood polyhedrons
which create an optical effect of light and shadows.

Both 3rd grade classes created an installation. Each student made a corner fold
with a piece of colored paper and glued a white square in the center. They
collaborated to arrange the colored squares that create interesting effects of
light and shadows.
