Every August, the third graders embark on a journey, creating personal time capsules! Students captured their favorite things, activities, and interests, then measured themselves from head to toe: height, hand span, foot length, and shoe size.
When the end of the school year arrives, the magic happens. They will open their capsules and compare them to their beginning of year selves. Students light up when they realize how much their tastes have changed, new favorite foods, different hobbies, evolving interests. But the real moment? Seeing the numbers. Their hands are bigger. Their feet have grown. Their heights have shot up.
What starts as a simple project becomes something unforgettable: proof that each student can transform in amazing ways. The third graders will leave the year not just with new skills and knowledge, but with the confidence of knowing just how much they've accomplished and grown.
