In Third Grade the students were grouped together to work on a math task that involved anchor chart paper (just like a teacher) and presenting to a classroom (just like a teacher). We love to see everyday life skills coming into our Curriculum lessons.
Students had a task where they were to answer open ended questions over a problem and then explain their answer to why they think/know that is correct. The teachers here at Oakhill were introduced to a book called, Good Questions for Math Teaching to drive students to more of an engaged and advanced lesson.
