Acorn Day Celebration 2025

Acorn Day Celebration 2025

This spring, the Oakhill community came together to celebrate Acorn Day—a cherished tradition that blends Earth Day activities with the spirit of renewal that defines our school.

This year’s celebration centered around the creation of Elizabeth’s Garden, a new space dedicated to the memory of Elizabeth Anderson, beloved wife, grandmother, and friend of Oakhill. Thanks to the generosity of over 35 donors, more than $4,310 was raised to bring this peaceful garden to life.

Students kicked off the day with hands-on science and environmental activities, including a scavenger hunt, wildlife demonstrations, and a campus cleanup. Families later gathered to reflect and honor the impact of nature, learning, and legacy at Oakhill.

The day also marked the symbolic start of Graduation Season, with moving poetry from 8th grade students capturing themes of growth, change, and transformation. Acorn Day 2025 reminded us that with strong roots, our students are ready to soar.
